Despite the fact Cassie was distracted the entire time her landlord was talking to her, she just nodded and made it seem as though she took on board everything he just said.
Finally, the mysterious blonde-haired man was introduced to her. This man was Mr Kyle Kyleson. One of the first roommates to move into the house. Cassie's first impressions of Kyle were positive. He greeted her with a cheery 'Hey!' and let their landlord continue the conversation.
After a short exchange, their landlord left and Kyle set about choosing his room. Cassie decided it was best to leave him to it and returned to her room.
It was getting late, but Cassie took it as an opportunity to relax and listen to some music.
Suddenly there was a knock at her bedroom door and Kyle shouted something through the door. Cassie didn't quite catch what he said initially but upon opening the door she finally understood what he said.
They got chatting and the next thing they knew, it was even later than anticipated. They both decided to call it a night and headed off to their separate rooms.
As Cassie began to relax, she couldn't help but feel happy to have hopefully made her first friend since moving to San Sequoia. Although she didn't know a great deal about Kyle, it was just nice to have someone else around her age to talk to.
With a busy few days ahead, it was time to get some sleep. She was going to need all of her energy to get through everything she needed to. It was a lot but sooner or later it needed to be done seeing as she had already put it off long enough.
