Meet Cassie!
Cassie grew up in foster care. Going from one home to the next fairly often. Her last home was in the busy city of Bridgeport. Prior to Bridgeport, she lived in Sunset Valley and even Appaloosa Plains briefly from what she can remember.
She didn't have many friends other than the other children who lived in the same house as her. Sadly, she lost contact with most of them over time. For the most part, she kept her head down and tried her best to stay out of trouble. Focusing on her studies and her love of music. She always had music playing on her stereo or headphones. If she wasn't listening to music, she was teaching herself how to play guitar and piano when she could or drawing.
Cassie never really knew her parents, she knows that they lived in Belladonna Cove, however, she has never had any actual contact with them at all in her life. They were scientists, much like her grandparents. Again, she's never met them and doesn’t know them or even if they are still alive. Maybe one day she would follow in their footsteps as a scientist? However, she didn't have much interest in those topics, she was much more of a creative person.
As Cassie was growing up, she would receive these letters, supposedly from her parents. Usually every few months or so. Initially, she would read them but as she got older, she placed them into a box to maybe open one day or just forget about. They always left her curious as some of the letters she had opened had mentioned places like Strangetown and that it was, well, strange. There were always plenty of rumors going around at school about places like Strangetown but she did her best to ignore them. Then again, she never really spoke about her real parents to anyone.
The last thing she read in these letters was that her parents were off to investigate and study this weird phenomenon in a place called Strangerville. She had no idea where that even was. That was a good two maybe three years ago now. Even though more letters had since arrived, she placed them in the box along with a number of others to be forgotten about.
From here, Cassie now has a choice to make. She's finished high school and she's no longer considered a Teen but a Young Adult. Who knows what Cassie's journey looks like but she finally felt like she was going to be able to live her life the way she's dreamt about for the very first time. Even if it takes time and hard work to get there.
