Previous Track: Intro (Cassie's Version)

Having just finished high school, Cassie was out in the real world properly for the first time. However, she has always been fairly independent. Growing up in foster care, she was used to moving around often and figuring things out on her own. Despite her upbringing, she doesn't let it hold her back. It also meant, because of her age, she had to move out of her current foster home since she was deemed a young adult now.

Cassie decided to jump straight into finding somewhere of her own so she could begin exploring the world around her.

After much deliberation, and visiting different apartments and homes, she eventually found a small room to rent in San Sequoia. Sequoia Cottage to be precise. A family home with a large spacious living area, kitchen and dining area, and plenty of outdoor space. It was much quieter than Bridgeport and had a nice, calming yet cozy feel to it.

Cassie did have other options rather than just moving to San Sequoia. Enrolling at university was one option, as well as taking a gap year and travelling the world. She even scoped out some apartments in San Myshuno and a couple of homes in Willow Creek. However, this seemed like the most sensible option for her for the time being.

Having just arrived at her new home, Cassie was exhausted. It was a long day of travelling from Bridgeport., but one she knew she needed to do. At least the weather stayed relatively bright for the most part, though.

Cassie would be living with four other roommates. Although, when she moved in, it was just herself. This worked in her favour as she was able to have the first choice of which bedroom she wanted. She settled on the second-largest bedroom and began moving her belongings in. It wasn't perfect and wasn't much but it was hers. Finally, a proper space of her own!

The landlord was still in the process of organizing other people to rent out the remaining three rooms but encouraged Cassie to make herself at home in the meantime.

This made Cassie feel relieved but also anxious. More so as she wasn't sure who these new roommates would be or if they would all get along. It was only a matter of time until she would find out. In fact, Cassie had more important things to worry about first, such as finishing unpacking, finding a job to pay her rent, and exploring San Sequoia!

However, despite all that, it was time to take a break and reflect on the last couple of days. A lot has happened. Emotionally and physically, she felt tired. Drained from the travelling and the move, but also reminiscent. Was it time, once she had settled in, to start trying to find out what happened to her parents or search for the rest of her family? Will she ever open the pile of letters her foster parents gave her just as she left? Maybe if she just places them back in the box and forgets about them, then it's like they don't exist. Either way, Cassie was free. Free to begin living her life the way she wanted for the very first time.

As she perched on the edge of her bed, the speaker started to play Set Me Free, she felt relaxed at last, and within moments, Cassie had fallen asleep.

When she wakes up, a new day awaits Cassie. Who knows what it has in store for her!
